IMAS 4.0
Plant monitoring, maintenance and energy management connected to the ERP
IMAS 4.0 is Labinf’s open Industry 4.0 platform: it collects data from CNC machines, plants and IoT sensors, brings it into a single communication layer and makes it available to the ERP, to maintenance and to energy management, including third-party systems.

Who it’s for
- Manufacturers with CNC machines and production plants
- Energy managers and facility managers
- System integrators and technical consultants
- Managers of office and service buildings
The problems we solve
- Machine and plant data locked in different protocols and systems
- Production information not connected to the ERP
- Maintenance handled on failure instead of planned
- Little visibility on energy consumption, by site and by user
- Building systems managed with separate tools
How we work
IMAS 4.0 uses open protocols (BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, OPC-UA) to acquire field data and translate it into a single communication layer. The collected data remains available to the ERP, the maintenance system and the energy dashboards through open APIs and databases.
Operational benefits
- Consistent field data, available to every business system
- Integration between machines, plants and ERP
- Predictive and planned maintenance
- Energy consumption and KPIs under control, across multiple sites
- Open platform that integrates with third-party systems
Key features
- Integration between CNC, automation and ERP
- Collection of operating parameters from machines, plants and IoT sensors
- SCADA for interactive design with field sensors and actuators
- IMAS EnerVue: web dashboard for energy management
- IMAS BAS: building automation for HVAC, lighting, access control and video surveillance
- IMAS MAINT: predictive, planned and corrective maintenance, asset inventory
- Remote diagnostics and remote support for plants
- Data warehouse and open APIs towards third-party systems

Frequently asked questions about IMAS 4.0
What is IMAS 4.0?
IMAS 4.0 is Labinf Sistemi’s open Industry 4.0 platform. It collects data from CNC machines, plants and IoT sensors, brings it into a single communication layer and makes it available to the ERP, maintenance and energy management.
Which protocols and machines does it support?
IMAS 4.0 uses open protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet and LonWorks. It can acquire data from PLCs, CNC systems, automation plants, IoT sensors and building systems (HVAC, lighting, access control).
Does it work with a non-Labinf ERP?
Yes. The collected data stays available through open APIs and databases, so IMAS 4.0 connects both to Labinf ERPs (such as LIGEST or iDempiere) and to third-party management systems.
Which modules does IMAS 4.0 include?
Besides machine-to-ERP integration it includes SCADA for interactive plant design, IMAS EnerVue for energy management, IMAS BAS for building automation and IMAS MAINT for predictive, scheduled and corrective maintenance, with remote diagnostics and support.
Can energy consumption be monitored across several sites?
Yes. IMAS EnerVue is a web dashboard showing energy consumption and KPIs by site and by user, across multiple sites, to spot waste and compare plants.
Is IMAS 4.0 suitable for Industry 4.0 projects?
IMAS 4.0 connects machines to the management system and collects production data, which are typical requirements of Industry 4.0 projects. Eligibility for any incentives should be checked case by case with your own advisor.
